Additional Notes: Marchman Act petition is filed with Suwannee County Clerk of Court. The petition then goes to hold status due to waiting list for a bed at Sid Martin Bridge House. Once a bed becomes available it then goes to the Judge for review, if grated an Ex parte order will be entered and the Sherriff takes them to Meridian in Lake City first for Evaluation. The Clerk said that Meridian no longer has State Funding for treatment and that if the petitioner wants to file for involuntary treatment, they would have to pay about 5,000.00 for 28 day stay if the respondent uninsured or underinsured. If the petitioner is okay with that, they would have to file a second petition for Involuntary Treatment once the assessment has been completed.
